Perfection

This little guy has all kinds of tricks up his sleeve.

In his world, these guys are at his service.

And when he doesn't get what he wants, he let's them know. Loudly. And often with a swift kick.

When he's not bossing his older-brother-servants around, the little guy is seeking perfection.

Even on the farm.... (please notice that the cows are accurately placed together on the roof, enjoying the breeze from the windmill)

I swear I did not teach him to do this. If you know our family, you'll know that he gets this from his dad.

Every day, another type of item is selected for the perfect lineup. He picks them, not me. No way. I stay far, far away. Except when I have to respond to "Look, Mommy!" after every piece is perfectly lined up.

I wonder why the helicopter was honored with a placement in that line-up?

Even the lids for the markers aren't safe.

But once in a while, in his pursuit of perfect, my little boy realizes that sometimes chaos is all you get. And I hope he knows that I think he's perfect just the way he is. No expert placement of Lego people will ever change that.
